Publication methodology

We separate an explanation from a current fact, and an example from a promise. The assumptions behind a calculation matter more than an attractive final number.

Four types of statement

An explanation describes a mechanism or term. An example uses conditional numbers and stated assumptions. A current fact requires a source, a review date and confirmation of applicability. An opinion must be identified as an opinion.

Sources and original material

Bank Portal publishes original explanations rather than reproducing source documents. Automated editorial assistance does not replace checking claims. Where possible, the project uses primary documents from regulators, infrastructure organisations, standards bodies or the authors of educational models. Each source record states its link and intended scope.

A US or international educational source does not transfer Russian tax rules, insurance limits or procedures. A publisher page does not automatically confirm the current edition of a document. A historical source can explain a mechanism without proving a current requirement.

What the review block means

Guides and terms show status, review date, text update, applicability and sources. “Sources checked” means that the listed grounds were compared on the stated date; it is not professional financial or legal expertise, certification or an individual recommendation.

The document-received date records when it was obtained. The review date applies to the claims in the material, while the update date applies to the text. None extends a document’s validity. Conflicting or missing evidence requires a separate status rather than a confident conclusion.

How the seven calculators work

Calculations run in the browser through deterministic functions covered by automated tests. The public calculators do not use a language model for arithmetic. Initial values are educational examples, not current rates or quotes. Field limits are technical model boundaries, not regulatory limits.

Intermediate calculations are not rounded at each step. Monetary results are displayed to kopecks; percentages and ratios are rounded separately. The result is a mathematical model, not a market forecast or product recommendation.
